kamana lakehouse is a hidden gem. the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the location is just perfect! it's a peaceful spot, yet only a 5-minute drive to town. i loved the stunning views of lake wakatipu and the remarkables. the staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating.

I loved the Tahuna Lakeview King Room. the views were breathtaking and the spa was just what I needed to unwind. The hot tub and sun terrace were perfect spots to relax after a day of exploring, making it a great getaway! Just be aware that the breakfast options could use a bit more variety.

Had a fantastic stay in the Twin Room – Remarkables – Mountain View. The room was super clean and comfy with feather pillows, a nice coffee machine, and great toiletries. Loved the hot tub experience for some relaxation after exploring. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Easy access to town, but the walk back is a bit steep.

It feels a bit out of the way, and accessing downtown takes time whether you walk or drive, which could be a drawback for those wanting immediate access to the action. The lack of some expected comforts is disappointing, like no room service until late in the afternoon, along with no bathtub in the room, which could have added a nice touch.
